As we near the end of another incredible winter and approach our extended closing day of Sunday, April 28, we want to let you know what to expect during the final weeks of the 2023-24 season.
Strawberry Gondola, Allen Peak Tram and the learning carpets have concluded for the season. This is typical as Snowbasin nears the end of the season and condenses terrain. Our operation teams remain focused on providing an optimal experience.
This weekend, Becker and Porcupine are expected to conclude operations with their final day on Sunday, April 14th. The final day for John Paul Express, DeMoisy Express and Wildcat Express is planned for Sunday, April 21st. This leaves Needles Gondola, Littlecat Express, Wildcat Handle Tow and Middle Bowl Express open until our Closing Day of Sunday, April 28th. These dates may change based on mountain conditions. Snowbasin will continue standard lift operating hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until April 14th. During the two-week extension period, lift hours will be adjusted to provide more optimal skiing conditions amid anticipated warmer weather. From Monday, April 15th to Sunday, April 28th, Snowbasin lift hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
As Snowbasin lift operations condense, the availability of restaurants will also be adjusted. John Paul Lodge has concluded hot food service for the season, but remains open for drinks, beer, and snacks. The lodge will continue to be open to provide a place to relax with restroom access while John Paul Express remains in operation. The Overlook has also concluded service, but full menu and bar service will remain available at The Cinnabar in Earl’s Lodge.
Needles Lodge Servery will serve hot food until Sunday, April 14th, but will remain open after for drinks, beer, and snacks. The lodge will continue to remain open for restrooms and a place to relax by the fire. Strawberry Patio Dining will remain open through Sunday, April 14th for those utilizing DeMoisy Express. Cinnabar and Earl's Lodge Servery will remain open through Closing Day serving a variety of options.
As this season closes, we are already anxiously awaiting the next incredible winter of skiing and riding! Now is the time to purchase a 2024-45 season pass for the guaranteed lowest rate. Prices are scheduled to increase on Friday, May 3rd. Those who buy their passes now and pay in full can begin using them to finish this extended season. Premier Passes also provide summer and fall access, which includes entry to concerts, festivals, and gondola service. A payment plan is available to lock in these rates by putting just 1/3 down. Save big with savings on lift tickets as we conclude the 2023-24 season. Starting April 15th, Snowbasin will adjust operating hours to be from 8am to 2pm to take advantage of the most optimal weather for warm spring days.
