Winter is officially here, and with the cold temps comes Snowbasin's Opening Day. The resort will open its slopes for its 83rd season this Thursday, November 30, at 9:00 a.m.
Guests will be welcomed back to the mountain with top-to-bottom skiing from Needles Gondola, Middle Bowl Express, Littlecat Express and Grizzly Carpet. Skiers and riders will have access to nine groomed runs and the Littlecat terrain park. Due to early season conditions, skiing outside of the groomed runs is prohibited, however, more snow is on the horizon, and additional terrain is expected to open soon.
The Grizzly Center will be open Wednesday from 10:00 to 3:00 for season pass printing, tunes and repairs, holiday shopping and more. Don't miss your chance to gear up for Opening Day! Overnight camping is permitted on Wednesday night, however, camping must fit within the Needles Gondola line and supplies must be off the plaza and in vehicles by 7:00 a.m. Camping will not be permitted in cars, parking lots or other areas. The first 100 people in line will get exclusive Opening Day swag.
Opening Day will be complete with dining, pass printing and shopping at the Grizzly Center. With dining available at Earl's Servery, Needles Lodge, and The Overlook, guests will have the chance to try new menu items debuting this season at each spot. Pass printing at the yurt will open at 8:00 a.m. alongside the Grizzly Center for guests looking to gear up for the slopes or do a little holiday shopping.
For those who haven't secured their season pass yet, there is still time! Snowbasin's Black Friday sale was extended until Opening Day, so don't miss out on saving $500 on a pass to experience what is sure to be another incredible season. Guests can also save 50% on tickets with the Basin Flex Card, a flexible ticket option loaded with multiple days to explore the mountain.
