Snowbasin Marketing Campaign Wins Utah Business Award

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - February 8, 2024 - Snowbasin Resort's "Go North" marketing campaign was named Best Outdoor Advertising Campaign at the 2024 Utah Business Sales & Marketer of the Year Awards. The campaign significantly expanded the resort's presence in Salt Lake County through distinctive outdoor placements, including a custom-built arrow billboard directing skiers toward the resort.

The integrated campaign was developed in partnership with Doxey Street Creative and leveraged sophisticated digital targeting alongside statement outdoor placements to attract visitors in the highly competitive Salt Lake City ski market, where over 10 resorts are located within a one hour drive.  It leveraged Snowbasin as a geographic outlier and positioned the resort as an independent and elevated experience, inviting skiers to venture a new direction.

The campaign was also recognized as "Most Visible Campaign" and "Best of Marketing" by Ski Area Management. These efforts contributed to Snowbasin's strongest year on record in their 83-year history, driving meaningful business growth. Snowbasin has become one of the fastest-growing brands in the ski industry, reaching No. 1 the following season in several consumer preference rankings, including USAToday, Outside and SKI Magazine.

The recognition comes as Snowbasin's Director of Marketing, Michael Rueckert, was also named Marketing Disruptor of the Year at the ceremony for his leadership in driving the resort's surge in business growth and brand awareness in the competitive local market. Under his oversight, Snowbasin's reputation has grown into one of the most highly regarded winter destinations in North America.

2024 Utah Business Sales & Marketing Awards

Snowbasin Marketing was also recognized in 2021 with a prestigious Summit International Award in a global competition with over 3,000 entries from over 60 countries and five continents. Their "What If?" campaign was highly regarded and received numerous industry accolades, including "Most Inspirational" by Ski Area Management, and SlopeFillers citing, "this one just gets the heart going in ways I haven’t felt from marketing for a while."
