As we wind down on this historic season and approach our extended closing day of Sunday, April 23, we wanted to provide you with a roadmap of what to expect and how to plan your final few adventures of the 2022-23 season.
"Although it is hard to believe, spring is here, and this historic season is coming to an end. We’ve enjoyed endless powder days, record snowfall, and all-time conditions. After experiencing our longest ski season in history and pushing things out as far as we can, we have to start scaling back our operations. We have already begun saying goodbye to some of our incredible team members that are off to their next season’s adventures, and with these hard farewells comes the need to prioritize our offerings for the remainder of the season. We hope you enjoy the final weeks as we bring this incredible season to a close. Thank you for being a part of history with us this year at Snowbasin. We are looking forward to starting the construction of DeMoisy Express upon closing, and welcoming you back next winter with even more offerings for you to enjoy!"
Lift Operations:
Due to significant snow depths and clearance concerns, Allen Peak Tram and the Grizzly and Wildflower carpets will remain closed for the season.
Strawberry Gondola is set to stop spinning following this weekend, with its official closing day being Sunday, April 9. This decision was made to prioritize staffing and mitigation work of the resort’s mid-mountain terrain. Fencing will still allow access to a few Strawberry trails, but you must exit back the base area through Penny Lane. Anything outside of this fencing will be considered out of bounds.
Porcupine, Becker and John Paul will remain spinning through April 16. Moving into our extended closing week, we will have Needles Gondola, Littlecat Express, Wildcat Express, Middle Bowl Express and the Wildcat Handle Tow operating daily.
As soon as the resort closes, construction will begin on DeMoisy Express, our new high-speed six-person lift providing additional access to Strawberry terrain. The quicker this work gets underway, the faster we will be able to get this new lift spinning in the 2023-24 season!

Dining & Lodges:
Strawberry Slopeside, The Overlook and John Paul’s kitchen are closed for the season. John Paul will continue to offer snacks, beverages and beer while John Paul Express is open. Needles Lodge Servery, Cinnabar, and Earl's Lodge Servery will remain open through closing day serving a variety of options.
