Getting Here

Toggle to explore winter or summer. The page will update with content relevant to the selected season.

The ease of getting to Snowbasin is one of the many reasons guests chose us for their mountain escape. Snowbasin features award-winning access, just 45 minutes north of Salt Lake City and one hour from Park City. We also offer the most free parking of any resort in Utah, with no reservations required. This winter, it gets even better with roadway improvements for increased vehicle flow, expanded carpool priority access, and Snowbasin pass holders get a free UTA Bus pass for the 2024-25 winter season.

We are located at 3925 E. Snowbasin Road in Huntsville, Utah. Get Directions

  • From Salt Lake City we are 45 minutes away. Take I-15 north to U.S. 89 North. Exit on I-84 East through Weber Cayon to enter Mountain Green. Snowbasin Resort is 8 miles from Mountain Green on S.R. 167 (Trappers Loop) and Snowbasin Road.
  • From Park City we are one hour away. Take I-80 East to I-84 West and exit in Mountain Green. From there, head 8 miles up S.R. 167 (Trappers Loop) and Snowbasin Road.

Parking

We offer complimentary parking in five locations: Earl’s Lot, Maples Lot, Canyon Rim Lot, Wildcat Lot, and Green Pond Lot. Last winter, Canyon Rim was expanded by 124 stalls to provide even more capacity. There are also many complimentary guest shuttles to conveniently access the base area. To reduce environmental impact and alleviate congestion, we encourage carpooling or public transportation whenever possible.

Earl's parking lots A through E will be reserved for carpoolers with three or more people on weekends and holidays until 11am, after which they will be opened to all vehicles while availability lasts. On weekdays, Earl's Lot A will be carpooling only parking.

All ADA parking is in Terrace A and guests can use the priority access parking route on weekends or the regular access to get to terrace A.

Street parking is managed by Weber County on Snowbasin Road. It is permitted on the right side of the white lines, except within the 'No Parking Zone' located near the Wildcat Parking Lot.

Weekend & Holiday Traffic Flow

Snowbasin will use a new traffic pattern to improve speed on Saturdays and Sundays, plus over holiday periods. Earl's parking lots A through E will be reserved for carpoolers with three or more people on weekends and holidays until 11am, after which they will be opened to all vehicles while availability lasts.

Starting at the roundabout, traffic will be separated into multiple lanes with express parking and priority access for carpoolers down the south end of our parking lots. Those with two or fewer people per vehicle will also receive quicker access directly into Canyon Rim, or Maples Parking Lot with additional lanes added.

All ADA parking is in Terrace A and guests can use the priority access parking route on weekends or the regular access to get to terrace A.
